The design takes inspiration from the site’s existing context, materiality, history, and industrial heritage, as well as from the wider city centre. The elegant new solution provides a unique new typology of city block, on the Kimmel brewery site, which responds to the city’s context and scale. This new typology is based upon permeability, connectivity, and also the integration between the various relevant historical eras, materiality, users and experiences.
